Will Google Give Relevance To Backlinks? Be the first to comment!

It appears that content is king as Google gets better at understanding natural language. Also important is user traffic and engagement.  It does not appear that quality relevant backlinks will never become completely irrelevant but certainly junk irrelevant backlinks are becoming less and less valuable and even hurtful.   In the video, Matt Cutts takes on this user-submitted question:

Google changed the search engine market in the 90s by evaluating a website’s backlinks instead of just the content, like others did. Updates like Panda and Penguin show a shift in importance towards content. Will backlinks lose their importance?

The way we work at Fusion Web is to provide quality guest blogging onsite and offsite, we also have a host of online accounts that are properly maintained where we micro-blog and post sitations and links back to our client blogs or news posts. This has proven time and time again to work as these posts and links are hand rendered and not with robotic software.

Miss Mary

I started developing websites in 2011 with Joomla then added WordPress development due to client requests.  The ever changing landscape of website development and search engine optimization requires constant learning.
