After a bit of research I gathered all the parts and operated... removed the infected hard drive and replaced with a brand new one... now I am back in business and better than ever.

Wow I could not believe it happened to me. I brag about not getting viruses and I "know what not to click on" but it can happen to the best of us. I got what is called a root kit and my anti-virus wanted to run a boot time scan... then it completely seized up.
